This is a voice Interview I did asking questions regarding Race and Gender in all aspects of education e.g University, Secondary School, Primary School, Public and Private school.
It was just a test interview to see how it goes (I know my voice sounds really weird.)
But it demonstrates from a student and teachers perspective that there is a massive need for more teachers and lecturers from an Ethnic background. Also, it highlights the point that women are definitely in lower positions in the Educational system especially Secondary school and if they are in higher positions like a Headmaster their time is short lived and this could potentially have been because of gender stereotypes that we have in our patriarchal society.
Lastly, it also shows that gender roles sometimes depend on the degree you are doing and the job that you go in to. For example, special educational needs masters is primarily a female field, thus lecturers were mostly women. However, this maybe crucial on the flipside that we need more male roles in certain educational fields, especially at a primary school level, which is a very important time in a boys life and he needs the right role models to look up to.
